London Jesuit Volunteers is part of the Mount Street Jesuit Centre in Central London. LJV began in early 2007 as an opportunity for busy adults to give direct service for a few hours a week with people who are materially poor, vulnerable and marginalized in our society, integrating action with reflection.
LJV provides a suitable placement in discussion with each volunteer, and also a peer group where volunteers can share experiences and reflect prayerfully on their service in terms of justice and faithfulness to God.
LJV volunteers work with commitment and compassion in a way that respects human dignity, promotes justice and has hope for the future.
