Frequently asked questions
Do I have to be Catholic to volunteer?
JV welcomes people from a whole range of backgrounds and perspectives. Many volunteers who choose us are Catholic, but by no means all. The distinctive qualities of Jesuit volunteers are: desire to learn from their experience, openness, interest in their own spiritual identity and a desire to see positives even where they are not obvious.
