Jesuit Volunteers come from many different backgrounds.
The Jesuit Volunteer Community has volunteers aged 18-35 from all over the world working in UK inner cities. London Jesuit Volunteers currently range from 25 to 78, and come from many professional fields, from architects and policy advisers to statisticians and teachers. Jesuit Missions Volunteers range from school leavers to early retired people, and volunteer in Africa, India and South America. But all Jesuit Volunteers have these attributes in common:
Jesuit Volunteers are:
· Open-hearted and open-minded
· Men and women for others, willing to serve
· Competent, capable and reliable
· Ready to grow and change
· Generous people of good will
· Attracted by what we stand for
We give them the opportunity to become:
· More reflective, self-aware, self-confident and balanced
· Agents of change
· Involved in our mission
· Deeper and more integrated in their spiritual life
· More attuned to finding God in all things
